Kids Say The Darndest Things
Reading Amy W.'s blog this morning made me think that kids say the funniest things sometimes. I too often don't take the time to even write them down.
I always love when my kids sit in the front of the car with me because they always ask and tell me the funniest of things. Here are just a few examples:
Taylor: "Mom why do you always listen to the station you want in the in the car, we want to listen to radio disney" My reply, well when you have your own car you can listen to whatever you want. Taylor: "But I am never going to have my own car," J-"sure you will honey when you are old enough to drive" But I am not going to have an xm radio in my car and know how to use it."
The question I ask myself is why is she worrying about having this in her car? She also told me that she wanted a lap top this morning and keeps reminding me how she needs her own cell phone. Is she 8 going on 20? I am not sure that I can handle the maturity these kids have today!
Jared: (note:Jared is my child who worries about EVERYTHING) The other day he lost a tooth and comes and shows it to me, "mom am I going to have to get braces now" J-"not for a long time Jared" well are they going to hurt? Probably a little Jared. "Well, when am I going to have to get them on." Noted this question comes up at least once a week and the kid is only 6. I don't even remember thinking about stuff like this!
