Pleasant
All I have to say is I feel like I have been going at super speed and the day is already almost over. I can't believe it is nearly 5pm. I have yet to shower today from my morning exercise. So you can imagine the stink. I forgot how long it takes to pack 6 people for a 14+ hour road trip! Of course we had to get a new DVD for the drive--family tradition. I have stocked the car with snacks, drinks, books, and music. And I didn't forget to bring extra towels and some handy club soda just in case of spills or what not. You can't be too prepared right??
It was kind of nice to sit in Taylor's room today and help her pack her clothes. We actually killed two birds with one stone and tried on stuff to see if it fits. I had her do this because we are visiting my good friend Chanel and her daughter is one year shy of Taylor. So it works out perfectly to clean out the closet and bring hammy downs to her instead of just dumping them to good will.
What a pleasant surprise this was this afternoon. It has been so bloody hot lately! We have been having occasional cloudy skies but nothing has ever come of it. I was just about ready to start edging my yard when it began to down pour. Sadly it didn't last long because as I look outside the sun is now shining again. So I guess I won't be able to get out of mowing the yard.
Tonight is our Relief Society's annual hi y'all, bye y'all. (If you haven't noticed y'all is a very Texan Southern thing to say)It is a chance to say goodbye to those who are leaving and those who have moved in. I don't even think there are any families left in town to say goodbye to. I really don't feel like going, but feel extremely guilty since I haven't attended a enrichment since I was released from being the enrichment leader. I told my husband I better go to this or they will think I am inactive. Dang that guilty conscious!! If it were my choice I think I would take a bubble bath and go to bed. I am so exhausted. I have a feeling this extensive traveling is going to take a toll on me when I return. But as of now I am excited to go to the beach, see family, and just hang out in the sun!! I am just glad that my cleaning, changing beds, doing laundry, and packing is almost DONE!!
