It's the Devils Day....Well, if you are superstitious today is the day you must beWare! I had to laugh as I was talking to my sister last night (who claims she is not at all superstitious ---yeah right) requested this to be one of her days off because of the date. (She is a labor and delivery nurse at a Catholic Hospital). She is even venturing out to see The Omen today.
I guess we all can be superstitious sometimes. I remember being little and not "stepping on the crack or you will break your mothers back?" or how about "bloody mary" in the bathroom with all of the lights out? Remember putting people into "trances" and lifting them up light as a feather stiff as a board? Do you purposely go out of your way not to walk underneath a ladder? How about holding your breath along with touching a screw and making a wish when going over a railroad track? I am not to sure if I could even find a screw in a newer car these days. Do you have a lucky charm? I think I am guilty to almost all of these things at one time or another in my life. Thinking back makes me laugh...I guess I am not so superstious any more. Maybe I should think twice though because Luke wet the bed last night, Weston lost a shoe, Jared lost his swimteam goggles right before the meet? Is this a sign? Despite the date I hope everyone has some good "luck" today.
