Deja Vu

I got a few good laughs after Tasha posting her lovely hair as well as Mindy so I took a trip down memory lane..................

Its funny how different places, smells, and sounds can bring you back in time. As I walked into the pool for Taylor's divisional meet, I was brought back in time. I remember being her age and how nervous I was for my race. I don't think she was all too nervous, but for some reason I was extremely nervous for her. I am happy to say that Taylor actually did so much improvement in swimming this year. Although, she didn't get first or second she bettered her time in each event by 3 seconds! This may not seem like a lot but in swimming a tenth of a second is huge. We are so proud of her and how far she came this season!!! She placed 4th overall in breaststroke.

Best Friends Mackenzi & Taylor

I was a little older than Taylor here pictured with my best friend Courtney.
This was my junior olympic meet in Tucson, AZ

Below is a photo of Luke. He is pointing to Doug telling him where Taylor and Jared are hiding. You can't keep much from him, but what do you expect from a 3 year old right? I had to post this picture because I get so many comments on how much Luke looks like Doug. Granted, he does have the eye and hair color--but pulling out this picture of my sister I would have to beg to differ. Its almost scary how they look so much alike at the same age!

Luke 3 years old

My sister Janet 3 years old

Me around 4-5 months old with my dad.
Can you believe how young he looks??

Weston 5 months

I found this picture of Weston pretty close to the same age. My mom made the comment to me yesterday that Taylor & Jared look like Doug's side and Luke & Weston look like ours. I sometimes see it and other times--well they just look like kids!!

Doug & Haleigh (2 years)

Last but not least I found a picture of Doug and our neice Haleigh. I remember I used to babysit her before we got married. Doug and I would take her places and pretend that she was ours. Kinda funny when you think back on it. It always freaked me out to see how much her and Doug looked alike.
Funny how the gene pool works!!

P.S. Coming soon--I will bring back my lovely bangs and frizz picture!
